M2 ATX power supply wiring question... 3 terminals

Hi, I'm a total newbie so I have an easy question, and yes, I've already tried searching and reading schematics...

On the M2 ATX power supply board, there are 3 main power terminals. One is ground, one is direct battery, and other is ignition power.

My question is, Do I have to use both power terminals? (run a power line to battery which should be at least 8 gauge in order to use a 30-40 amp inline fuse) and run a fuse tap wire from ignition fuse block?. Plus the ground wire.

I'm asking because I want to know does the M2 ATX just need the ignition power to know when to power on computer? and If I have to use such a heavy guage wire for the battery line, then how would you use a heavy gauge line to the ignition wire?

I want my PC to power on when I start car and then I'll have the jumper setting to turn off computer a certain length of time after car is off...

thanks for any input
