Yes.
In Windows volume control, there is a level for S/PDIF In. If I mute that, it mutes the XM audio.
So I went into Sat Radio Settings again, and selected the S/PDIF choice for Sound Card. I tired this before, but I did it again just to make sure. When I hit Save, it mutes the XM output right away. So I think, good. I close SD and restart it just to make sure. When I restart SD, the Sat Radio settings has put the sound card setting back 'Speakers-Creative Audigy' on its own. Repeat the above steps. Same thing. No matter what I do, SD resets the soundcard setting back to 'Speakers-Creative Audigy.'
Not sure if this will help, but when I do restart SD after trying to change that setting, SD starts with a big red MUTE showing. When I click on an mp3, I hear the mp3 fine, but 'Mute' stays showing on the screen, and a dialog box comes up saying something along the lines of "It appears that your audio level is inaudible... would you like to adjust it now?" It's not inaudible though, I hear it fine.
It must be how SD is interacting with this particular soundcard in Vista? Or maybe it's just Vista's new sound engine.
