So if I have an input signal of about 5.5V (about 90% of the maximum input of 6V) i should set my gain down.

1. Would this configuration give me better quality (THD%) THAN takeing a low signal say 0.3V (5% of 6V) and turning the gain all the way up?

2. If yes to Q1, would the Sound Volume (Amplitude) be grater with high input signal low gain OR low input signal high gain?

3....Just wondering, what is the effect on THD% of high input signal and medium/higher (say 65%) gain?
