On my setup (a no brand 7" from ebay) I had this both in the sw and the hw.
First take a look at the sw tool you calibrate you screen with (mine is named "touch screen utility"), look thrue the tabs and on mine there is a tag box that is named "sound on touch" or something like that. -just disable that
