Hi there,

I'm currently having this problem with "over range" displayed on boot up, and it's driving me mad!!

I installed my PC (Not 100% on the brand, but it's a 1.5gig processor) in the car and it was working fine, but I'd wired the Lilliput directly to the 12v from the car's battery - I read that this is not recommended, so I re-wired it to take power from the M2-ATX power supply. Booted the computer to test, and the screen powered up (so no problems there) but "Over range" was displayed - I can't see anything.

Having asked around, I'd led to believe possibly the BIOS has reset due to static while doing the re-wiring job. I've tried :

1. Unplugging the lilliput, waiting for the PC to boot and then plugging it back in.
2. Pressing ESC / F8 on boot to enter bios / safe modes - but still can't still anything.

On top of that, I've just gone outside to try again and the PC turns on, gives me a beep sound to indicate it's turned on (and hopefully booting), but I can't see the HD activity light working, and I get a blank black screen now, no "Over Range" displayed. I hope (I pray!) it's not broken.

Any other ideas? I have a bulky CRT monitor so can't really lug that into the car, so maybe I could borrow a LCD monitor and see if that works?
