wow, they totally ripped into taurus owners who like (early) limp bizkit. (see my sig for car...) too bad mine wasn't a hand me down.
If it's tuned right, anything sounds good, it says so in the article. So my 97 taurus's eight speakers can easily sound better than the 14 in the MKX.
Isn't that a kick in the pants mr. MKX guy, pay that 40 grand, and my old a$$ taurus sounds better. (don't get started on how the 40k buys a better car, I can get a used caddy for way way less, even a new bimmer.)
And bass without distortion isn't hard, these guys have heard too many best buy built systems, with the gain turned beyond the optimum, bass boost all the way up, and the 'loud' feature on, of course it will sound like crap.
Oh, and a lot can be had for deadening too, this makes a huge difference in SQ.

By the way, what makes it THX certified? just cuz they helped design the placement of the speakers?

I'll take my hand selected stuff too anyday! I'm sure though that the mid life crisis lincoln buyer will be perfectly satisfied with this car. Good for him.
