Reduce shutdown time?
I've been tweaking away to get a good fast bootup time (WinXP Pro), and I have finally achieved one I'm happy with.
Now, shutting down takes a long time (almost 35-40 secs.) I have applied the registry tweaks for reducing the app and services timeouts (HungAppTimeout, WaitToKillApp, etc, etc) but it has not reduced my shutdown time, so something else must be making it hang.
Is there anything else I can do to reduce my shutdown time? I always close all programs before shutting down. I wish there were some app that analyzed shutdowns the way Bootvis analyzes bootups.
