Properly powering HP touch screen laptop. My searches have confused me even more.

Hey folks. I have been on and off the forum for a while now. I was going to go the Mac Mini Route, but I live in Canada and don't want to buy a touch screen from Hong Kong or the States because of the b.s. taxes and duties. So I decided to purchase an HP tx1218ca with a touch screen and the following specs.

processor: AMD Turion (tm) 64 X2 mobile technology TL-58 1.90 Ghz

memory: 958 MB

System type: 32 bit

Running Windows Vista Home Premium

I would like to be able to dock and un-dock the laptop just like I was planning with the Mac Mini. I will most likely have to build a custom center console for this, but I am not worried about that.

Could any of you provide some links with worklogs on this site or on the internet detailing proper powering of a laptop/laptop installation. I have installed full car audio systems which are straight forward to me, but computers are complex when intigrating into car audio and not really meant for car installation. So if any of you have any links in mind that would help me to understand what to do in my situation I would really appreciate it. All of my searches have landed me with worklogs with pics of wires and arrows all over the place, which just confuses me more. In the meantime I will continue searching.

Thanks.
