If you use the P1900 you have to cut up a powercord for your laptop (the section after the brick, before the laptop). Or find a plug that will work in the laptop and add your own wires to it.
I think he's going to use the tablet itself as the touchscreen, so turning it off and on wont be a problem. Just lift the screen, press the power button and let it do its thing.
