Since I couldn't find a common thread about backlighting (be it with LEDs or otherwise) I am asking this question here.

turbocad6, have you been able to compare a transflective display with your display (in the same conditions)?

And what do you think of this:

Would it work?
It says at the specs:
19,000 mcd 6000k Color Temp 1148 LED's Power is 15v @50w
But I don't really know how to judge it.
It's used for building a video projector, so it should be plenty bright.
Would it be possible to dim it?
