DUDE! That was my idea about a year ago! :-) i think there is a thread discussing it.

i have a vfd (1x20) that I could sell you cheaply if you want to mess around with it. i could even make a deal with you if you were willing to make me a cable as well (i have two vfd's hanging around). though, if i were you, i'd check into the new line of gx character lcd screens along with lcdstudio. edit... on second thought i remember seeing the guts of that unit and it's still too large for the rearview mirror

Dennis... I totally overlooked this thread until just now. it's coming out great and i love the oem goal that you have. looking forward to your final install
