So, you guys could help me with the in car computer stuff? My closest connection for this was building a, "biscuit PC" power supply (before they were plentiful) back in 1998 for my brother's MP3 player he built for his ride. His rig of a power inverter was unreliable and he always forgot to turn it off. I built the supply on a piece of perfboard and rewound the transformer from an old car amp. It was a little electrically noisy, but worked fine.

He then bought the indash eMPEG Rio(?). I think he still uses that...
