For me personally, when I first installed my Mini I had a bunch of problems with the headphone jack not remembering that something was plugged in when it would boot/wake. After a recent failed attempt at a FW sound card, I tried it again rather than reinstalling my old M-Audio POS and it has been working fine since the first few days (major ground loop issues while waking, but it cleared up on it's own

).

I got alot of "bad direct sound drivers" because it wouldn't immediately initialize on start up. It would actualy take about 10-20 extra seconds to start playing music, if the bad sound driver error didn't come up and halt everything. I actually just realized a few minutes ago that the drivers for the internal sound car were not installed, so that may have caused the problems. I'm still jsut wondering if i should even bother with the USB sound card.
