I can't feel any sympathy for someone who asks for assistance, then poo-poos the assistance when given. It's like saying "I want your help, but only if it is convenient for me."
To many people, this comes across as a big "screw you", whether intended or not.

Personally, I wouldn't take advice from someone who has had 25% of their BIOS flashes end in failure either.
I can understand that. But if that same person has only done four BIOS updates in their life, they've only had a single failure. The only reason the failure rate is so high is because there has been no opportunity or need to flash more BIOSes to improve the success/failure rate.
Regardless, the procedure is the same. The BIOS has to be loaded outside of Windoze to insure success. I have flashed BIOSes many times and have
NEVER had a failure with good hardware.
I have had failures with bad hardware, however. But then again, who wouldn't?
