how did you get that? yes, a USB port can supply 500ma of power to a USB device, but that does not neccisarily (sp?) mean that the radio itself can/is broadcasting at 500mw. Most wifi cards don't put out anywhere near 500mw. I'd say most of them transmit between 25 and 100mw. However, these oddball cards ya'll are finding do transmit more power, which is cool. Just remember that in the US, max power is 4 watts...if you want to stay legal
