The # of readings that you can get at the higher baud rate is really dependent on the ECU and what latencies it runs into, on an ISO vehicle you might not get a lot of additional readings. With the increased baud rate you should also look at playing with the ATST (timeout) setting and keep going lower until you see NO DATA messages, this will reduce the time the scantool waits before sending the next command and will help improve the throughput.
