second screen on G4 just for nav

I have a lexus IS300 with a foldable factory navigation display on top of my dash. The car originally had navigation controls on the console close to the armrest.

Now, I have installed my car computer with a touchscreen in place of the factory nav screen. I kept my headunit but added a car2pc adapter. This way I'd keep at least my peripheral vision on the road when using my computer.

At first, I thought i had achieved my factory look; but i had a usability problem: I constantly have to stretch my arm out to get to the screen to control my computer. And my headunit now is taking up alot of space while doing nothing really except for skip and volume control (cd-text not supported ).

So now I understand why the car was designed like that!

So I'm thinking of getting the G4 for my main control for radio and music and keeping my current monitor as a second display dedicated to navigation (as the original design intention). That's easier said than done; problems for you guys to answer:
1- no second vga on g4. can i use the s-video and touchscreen of my monitor at the same time?
2- how will SD allow?
3- can i open up the G4 and add a second video card (theoretically)? I guess the g4 is using a standard motherboard.
4- will a usb video adapter be powerful enough to display the gps?

if all else fails, i might keep my current car computer just for navigation. there really isn't any need to integrate navigation into the rest of the system except maybe to mute the music while speaking directions.

(this topic could go in more than one place)
