As I mentioned before, when I enter the radio module, everything works (buttons, RDS data, station changing, etc) except there is no audio. If I minimize CF and go to the windows mixer, unmute the aux in, and mute it again, I can hear the radio (with the working buffer) playing. This happens whenever I leave the radio module or enter XM or Media. I come back to radio being muted entirely.
--Second issue which has become increasingly more annoying is the Buffer (noticed in XM only, as the radio hasn't worked for a while now)
After 10 minutes or so I hear a few blips of static every few seconds. It slowly increases 'til its to the point of constant stuttering. While its doing this, the time display jumps from various times to "Live". Sometimes it'll only show 00:01 and others it'll show 29:56 or something else.
To fix it I have to leave XM and enter media, then re open XM. Unfortunately it starts back up 10 or so mins later though. If I pause or press forward it'll briefly ease the problem, but within a short time itll start right back up and begin stuttering.
--Strangley, after giving up on XM for a few trips I noticed some light static blips and stuttering in the regular media player that I havent heard before. Could these two issues be related to the changes you mentioned you made to the core media player?
--On occasion after exiting CF and opening it up again (sometimes after a restart) the media playlists will all be blank. Nothing showing in the HDD or CD playlists.
--The last issues have to do with XM again and I believe smeesseman is looking into it...
1. When I have been playing XM for a while and then enter media and let the computer go into hibernate, when it resumes from hibernate both XM and media are playing.
2. When I am in XM and leave XM (press back) and then re enter XM without going to another audio source, sometimes XM will pause.
3. When XM is playing and I enter media, then return to XM, and finally return back to media, media is sometimes paused.
If I spend more time I can get steps to reproduce these more easily than I have posted above. Let me know if you can't reproduce them... this was just a list from memory of the things I noticed that were a priority in my mind.
sorry you are having so many issues, I am unable to reproduce any of these issues...
Are any other users having stutter issues with audio in default media playback?
Are any other users having trouble with the Radio working? We have many customers using the Radio features without any problem in all the previous versions and this one...
I will have Scott try to reproduce the XM issues, including the stutter and Live text switching issue...
I am also trying to reproduce the missing playlists when loading issue... Can you post your error.log file?
