the principle acoustic issue is that soundwavess hit stuff and reflect (in a cars case, all over the shop and in no order due to it being a funny shape and TINY) or create sympathetic resonance (making the thing they hit become a speaker, in a cars case, very easily even if you stick half an inch of sound deadening pads on every surface) - both of these are going to happen a LOT more than in a room.

those are just in a drop of an ocean of problems you get with car audiom then theres the phase issues with sticking loads of speakers in your car (more than 2 + sub), bass traps, acoustic floors, i could go on.

Hoookaayyy...........

we all know the car is a bad enviroment for good sound in the first place. You're not telling us anything new here.

You don't want to spend cash on your auto for decent sound, that's okay. You want to spend all you cash on the house, that's okay too.

Just as someone may want to spend all thier money on thier car.

Me? I spend alot of time in my vehicle. I like good sound. Seems to make sense to spend a bit of cash to make my living enviroment more pleasant to be in. There's nothing wrong with pursuing better sound in the car. It's more difficult and it costs more. So what? That's what floats some people's boats........
I like good sound when I'm watching a movie at home. Spent a fair bit of cash to get it. I also spent a fair bit of cash on a 42" plasma.

My point is that's a different application from the vehicle. Apples and oranges.........

Takes all kinds brothers and sisters.

Now, can we please get back to the original topic?

Cheers
