Ok, that is what I thought, at first.

So it looks like I have either a dead mobo or dead cpu... I get no beeps, no POST, no monitor waking. So I am back at the 50/50 shot of is it the mobo or the cpu...

I might just get a Core Duo chip this time to be absolutely certain. I read there are only marginal gains with the Core 2 Duos anyway but the price is certainly different!
