I have problem with my USB DVD. I have many times though problem solved, but it has always reappeared.
My system is an MII12000, a panasonic USB DVD and also a Huawei200 3G modem (with internal mass storage device meant for installation that I have disabled in control panel. This device will still often 'pause' the system at boot so that it has to be disconnected for the boot to continue).
DVD is connected via CIB-650 monitor, but I beleive that it just passes on USB straight thru. I power DVD separately from my own 5V DC/DC.
I have tried this:
- connected DVD directly to USB port, avoiding hub
- flashed latest bios 1.37
- updated usb drivers
- there is no powersave option enabled
- patch KB892050 from microsoft
Most of the time the DVD starts if I disconnect/reconnect the power to it, but it is not enough to disconnect/reconnect USB.
Please help. I'm out of ideas and don't even know what to google next.
