Thanks guys.
I've been playing around abit and it seems like its the HQCT USB connection that is giving me problems. I will however continue to try the system out before I say to much..
For now everything seems to be working when HQCT is disconnected.
Standby is not an option. It can get cold at wintertime in sweden and I do need all the mAh I can get...

When the 3G modem halts the boot it can be during scan of HDD before postscreen(?) is complete or when the progressbar at hibernation load or at the blank blue screen right after. It always manages to break free, but it can take as long as 30 minutes. If I unplug the 3G modem is continues right away. But this is really my second problem.
I have disabled USB keyboard as well as other bootable devices than the primary HDD.
I have also tried to disable USB all together in case win drivers were sufficient. They were not :-)
I think I can live with this problem as long as it is rare.
