Given the limited interior space in my car I changed direction with the enclosure Im building so I got the parts into an old case to load and configure XP, do updates, .net and all the fun stuff you do setting up an new pc. Then I hooked up the display and configured the touch screen and messed around with the settings to center the picture.

Then I came back here and trolled up a link for front face software but didnt find any in the DL area. I did come across a good thread with a link to page of front face links. Lots of dead links but I found some. I snagged the demo Digidash for now and found it to be pretty straight forward. Id be interested in other recommendations or a page with screen shots to help decide which to go with.

The install of the monitor is coming along well thus far. The 300zx has two single din slots with a plastic bar separating them which has to come out. The inner walls of the din areas taper inward to a normal DIN size. My monitor is too wide to fit the din width so with some cutting and a heat gun I softened the plastic and reformed it to allow the monitor to fit. I made a template of the shape and used it as a gauge to measure progress. Ive got some trimming to do and then Ill use a plastic welder to make the mounting surface. Im liking what Ive done so far, I cant wait to get on the road with this.
