I HAD AN HOUR OF CARPC FUN UNTIL I HAD TO REPLACE THE DASH....
after all the prepping and time spent trying to get the carPC integrated in the hyundai, life fails me.
the dash does not allow the gl701 to come out more than half an inch and the way the dash is made, the gl701 only comes out to an angle facing the shifter.
FAIL FAIL FAIL.
oh yeah, the case wont let me use more than one 2.5" hdd or a 3.5" hdd. so i have to go to the local stores again and see if one of them have a 40pin to 44pin adapter.
im gonna go be sour until then.
so far, my final resolve will be:
yank the JVC from the mr2 and put that in the hyundai so i atleast have some music, stick the forsaken tom tom one on the windshield again.
remove all the wiring, harnesses, power hook-up, 10' vga extension, 10' usb extension, from the hyundai.
then i'm going to strip the mr2 of all the electronic stuff (amp, wirings, cap, etc) before i send it in the shop (less things to worry about). REDO all the wirings, harness, etc when i get it fixed (who knows how long that will take). have someone fabricate a 3 amp rack. install the gl701 in the mr2. bah. it will be awhile before i end up finishing this.
