They call it "warm up". There are 3 types of warm up (here they are for your GPS)...
Hot Start: Average < 1 seconds (typical TTFF 95%)
Warm Start: Average < 38 seconds (typical TTFF 95%)
Cold Start: Average < 42 seconds (Typical TTFF 95%)
My GPS is just like this, I have no idea how to change it but I know mine came set to hot though. Hope this helps!
