Now what can i do to mitigate the noise coming from that unit? Its in the front of my car while the 3sixty is in the rear. I'm using monster (overrated i know) rcas from the XMD back to the 3sixty. The rca cables do have a ground cable that i dont have hooked up. Should i ground that point? After i removed the AUX rca's i was able to successfully set my pots as per the instructions on the 3sixty software and it does sound noticibly better.
Well, I wouldn't dream of putting one of those cheap noise filters on RCA out of a CD player, etc...but hey, it's really not gonna effect the sound quality of XM (low-bitrate music)...you could probably take care of the issue on the cheap if it's just a ground loop thru the RCA to the XM (after, of course, making sure ground on the XM unit is robust...try taking it out to a seat belt bolt or other location in the floor pan).
