I thought you were using a PCI X-meridian sound card?
Did you get rid of it?
If yes, are you using the onboard sound? I don't see any cards on your board.
Is the scroll fan loud? I've been looking for a quiet fan for the computer myself as most of the small fans I've tried spin too fast (and thus, noisy) to move a suffecient amount of air for cooling.
Hmmm, maybe I'll check your worklog........
