If you don't know anything about computers, I would think that diving in to build a PC wouldn't be the best course of action, especially undertaking your first PC build for a vehicle, since there are a lot of unusual circumstances you're going to have to deal with.
For your situation, I
highly recommend either learning about PCs and how to build one from components or purchasing a pre-built computer instead.
Doing both is probably a good idea, but not necessary, IMHO.
