Ill try to keep this short...alltough impossible
I finally have everything for a carpc. I am trying to bench test the DSATX 220 psu. I have read all the faq sheets, searched and read many messeges and seen alot of pics of how to do this. I allmost have it working....but, its not.
My setup is a AMD 3000+ on a micro Asus A7VBX-LA atx board. I have a 3.5" 160gig hd, one 512meg of ddr ram, on board video and sound, ps2 keyboard and usb mouse connected to motherboard. I have the liliput connected to ac house outlet for now, will eventually power from DSATX psu probably.
Setup for bench test....I am using a pc psu to simulate a battery. I have the yellow wire from the pc psu hard drive molex going to the DSATX and the black ground going to the DSATX also. I have a switch for simulating ignition on the yellow power wire going to the acc on the DSATX. I also have the wire jumpers on the pc psu pins 13 & 14 also pins 8&9. Everything starts fine and posts but in the middle of windows loading, the DSATX turns off. My motherboard also has the 4 pin power connector(not sure what it is called) and when this is connected to the motherboard and the DSATX is when it works fine but loses power in the middle of windows loading. When I disconnect this 4 pin power thing, the DSATX psu and the motherboard seem to never lose power but nothing posts or boots. I am going nuts!!
Any suggestions? Hope my explanation makes sence
forgot to mention... before the DSATX turns off in the middle of windows loading, the DSATX starts blinking 2 times over and over with the red led light..
