Wow, SMD soldering? Hope mine doesn't need that...
Anyways, I got into my BIOS so that I could post the applicable settings for you:
First off, my SATA drive shows up as IDE channel 2 Master. Here are teh settings it auto-detects:
HITACHI HTS722010K9S
Capacity 100GB
Cylinder 47885
Head 16
Precomp 0
Landing Zone 47884
Sector 255
Extended IDE Drive = Auto
Access Mode = Auto
I have the Hard Disk Boot Priority set to the first entry:
Ch 2M. : Hitachi HTS722010K9SA0
First boot device is set to hard disk (there is no CD plugged in).
In the OnChip IDE Device screen, I have:
IDE HDD Block Mode = Enabled
DMA = Enabled
Legacy Mode Support Mode = Disabled
SATA Mode = IDE
OnChip Secondary PCI IDE = Enabled
All the rest are set to Auto in this screen.
What BIOS version are you running? I have not reflashed mine since I got it...
I am running 3307820 1.2
