Thanks for the great responses. I know that most of the crashes people face are with software but I wanted to know in terms of hardware. I'll be putting the software under some brutal tests.

Also, I wanted to know how to properly test that the hardware will last for a few years (at least 5)

What suppliers have you had bad experiences with or what search terms should I put in mp3car.com?

Also, does touchscreen have a higher/same/lower failure rate as non-touchscreens?
