I have the G4 which is almost exclusively touchscreen-based. While there are a number of annoying problems with the G4, the lack of hard controls is what I hate most about it... it is so annoying to have to do the finger swipe every time I want to change tracks; it would be much nicer to press a button. I often resort to using the wireless remote control.
Touchscreens are nice to have as an alternative input source and for additional functions, but hard controls for basic functionality like track control and volume are vastly superior IMO.
