ALDL is GM data transfer protocol (and use with OBD1)
From 1996 all car equip OBD2.

So you neen OBD2 cable and you should find out which protocol use your car ( ISO9141-2, ISO14230-2 (KWP2000), SAE J1850 VPW, SAE J1850 PWM, ISO 15765-4 CAN)

I think you need K-Line adapter for connect you car to PC (or adapter on ELM chip)
