Same here. I've used the same ol' samsung 3.5" spinpoint drives for about 4 years now. I have yet to have one die. I've fiddled around with SS drives and notebook drives, but always came back to my desktop HDDs. Nothing beats performance of a desktop drive IMO. And here in New Mexico, we've got extreme temp changes. It'll get as hot as 110F in the summer and down to 5F or 6F in the winter. Some winter days it never gets above freezing around here. And my lil spinpoint drives just keep goin and goin.
