ok, new problem, you very well could be correct my adapter could be poo.
anyway now i am trying a sandisk ultra 2 2gB and i type format c: /s/x and it says "insufficient memory to execute FORMAT" darn. whats it mean?
ok well during my typing of this post i googled my problem and came up with
