yes, sounds like the cpc is not the problem. You alarm and remote take a bit of power as wel. And if the power is to low, your alarm will notice this and start to make strange noises (that happand to me with dsx12vd, 5 volt enabled), and if pulling that plug lowers it, than that amount is probably used by the alarm/ central locking system.
