Yeah, I just un-rared the file. It has the 67715.bin and awdflash.exe files. I made a bootable CD, booted into Dr.Dos and flashed away. First boot up into 1.5 and the screen was reversed. Weird trying to navigate windows with everything mirrored. I rebooted a couple times, video fixed itself but the CDin never seemed to work, so I abandoned it and went back to 1.4 and the external out. You know, now that I think about it, I remember seeing on the Commell site a different set of audio drivers and software for the 1.5 bios. Honsestly from their site, it seems the 1.5 bios is for the GM(E) chipset. I didn't want to be chasing ghosts down the line becaues of using a non-official bios version. CarPCs seem to be picky and I don't need to complicate things anymore than they are already.

As for the Toslink...I haven't actually gotten that far yet. I'm going to be running into a Zapco DSP6 and from there into a series of McIntosh amps. Right now I've been reading up on Front ends as I want to make sure the Toslink and the audio work without any issues. This is a BIG reason I want the computer...amongst many other...but this one needs to work before I go tearing into my car. Seems like there's a lot going on in the Street Deck front. I'm leaning more towards RR because I've got a good friend who's a programming guru and he's teaching me to write code so I'm hoping I can use the open source nature to really customize my particuar setup for what I want to do.
