- -Well, dumb *** sleepy me fried my 8" last night. However, because of my unique dash opening I found a 8.4" widescreen that is a perfect fit for it. it's just that I am so close to getting this to work that I can taste it. So my plan was, after I found out that I had the monitor cable connected backwards, to install the car pc to get something going. Got the screen going, then plugged up the extension we bought from Altex and we must have gotten the wrong one because when I used it on the monitor the screen last a lot of brightness as if the extension cable was not able to carry the full load or something. So at this point since I am without my 8" TM-868, I am going to finish the mounting of the car pu in the trunk and uplaod more software until my new one comes in or I can find someone local with a screen.
