I know nothing of the OP's car but there are cheap cables and open-source tools that allow remapping of most recent Subaru ECUs, and (from what I've heard) some Mitsubishi ECUs as well. With luck there might be something available for Boras too. Also check for tools for the US equivalent, if there is one. The ECUs are likely not too different.


This is what i have experience of, i've used the Scooby and Mitsi 1s successfully. So i was hoping you could do similar on the VAG's. However nobody seems to know how, apart from the people charging Thousands!
