A nOOB question about monitors.
In all the posts I keep reading about LCD controllers and such, but I can't grasp the reason why. For examply, if I have a flatscreen LCD (let's say 10" monitor w/ VGA) I know I can hook it up straight up to my computer and get a signal. I appologize if I'm wrong about this, but why are LCD monitors such a hot camodity if you will need a controller along with it. Again, excuse my ignorance of I'm wrong. Thanks for any future replies for their enlightenment.
