-Hard drives will not be damaged by the vibrations from your car. If you hit a bump big enough to cause a head crash, you will have more important things to worry about. like your now broken suspension. If you're paranoid, use rubber grommets or a laptop hard drive.

-LCD's are not damaged by cold weather. However, the response time (how long it takes to display a new image) of the screen will be much slower (several seconds) untill it warms up.
