Doesn't that do the voltage regulation? Or doesn't it filter? If it does why would you need our regulator?

The main reason I went with an external 12Vdc-12Vdc is so I didn't need to start modifying cases. I've still got the 240V-12V mains adapter so if I ever need to take a car computer out of the vehicle I can just plug it back in the mains again. It's not a perfect solution but it's the cheapest regulator I've found.

I've found a battery that might just prove to be the ideal tank battery as well. If it works then I think I've got exactly what I and a lot of other people are looking for.
