here. I think the 21 pin for the front and 32 for the amp. Look at yours to make sure. One thing to remember is the head unit drives the 4 tweeters and is also the input for the power amp, which drives the 4 midrange and 2 dual voicecoil subs. There are also bass-blockers on the tweeters inside the doors, and the mids in the doors are 2-ohm. Just so you know what you're getting into.

Hmm ... couldn't I hook up the carputer, which would probably have 4 channel (2 fronts, 2 backs) sound output, directly to the stock amp using pins E1 through E7 and pin F1 (as detailed on the Monsoon amplifier pin diagram at
http://www.houston-f-body.org/tech/monsoon/Firebird.htm)? I'm trying to do without the stock HU altogether since there won't be enough room in the dash for one after I stick the LCD in there (unless somebody knows of a suitable replacement head unit thats 1/2 DIN in size).
How do you have yours hooked up? Would getting a new amp with RCA connectors already on there be easier? Another idea thats floating around in my head is to stick the stock HU in some obscure location (like the trunk or something) and use one of the adapters at
http://www.pie.net/sec12sb1m.htm to plug into the HU's CD changer port. I'm not too thrilled about that idea though because it doesn't seem quite as slick as ditching the stock HU entirely.
And on a side note, this post should probably be moved to a more suitable forum as it no longer has anything to do with LCD displays

. I would've PM'd this, but I'm thinking this information would be valuable to lots of other people as well. Perhaps the moderators can step in and stick this post in the right forum. IIRC, there isn't even a forum dedicated to hooking carputers to the audio system
