In an electronics magazine somewhere, it had a websiter listed that told you how to modify the card for different frequencies be just changing one coil, this is what I thought you were talking about, if you did do this, you loose the original frequency range... By changing the coil you dont modify the frequencies you alloy the receiver to accept wider range of frequencies. The coils are changed to keep the receivers sensetivity to an acceptable level.
You dont loose any frequencies.The frequency is controlled by PLL VFO... And those coils got anothing to do with it...
