Alright after I am getting tired of flip the screen down so I can use the HVAC, I decided to do a bit futher
posting on this thread for fabrication ideas. I took the Rotozip and cut the bezel where the ash tray used to be.
The bezel before.
After the cut and the front PSOne screen is in place.
Bondo Glass first pass.
Light weight Bondo body filler.
Sanding extra bondo filler.
Sanding and more sanding. The back after mount to radio bezel
Front with Winamp5. The paint is Rustolium painter's touch vinyl black.
Everything is in place. Left of the LCD is the Power and HD LEDs, Power button and SDC kill switch and PSU ACC switch.
Different shot.
Some notes: I mount the 1/2 DIN EQ behind the LCD so that the LCD controller board is laying between the radio and the EQ. I can't no longer adjust the EQ or the PSOne brightness control. To do so, I have to take the bezel out. That is a pain in the a$$ job.
The bezel material is a PITA to work with. There are imperfection with bondoing and the whole process, but I don't really care much. Look close up, there is the line where bondo and rubber met that is su<k but that is the best I can do with the bezel material. I am more than happy with the previous setup.
oh yeah, I swap out the old 550MHz CPU with the old "new" 600MHz and 500MB RAM. That's it for the Supra. No more update except the DC-DC PSU which will soon be a custom Mastero/Sproggy MK4.
