Talking Remotely wired faceplate! turned out really nice, check it out

well i just finished my remote faceplate. I used 2 cat 5 cables and soldered all the connections to wire it up. I mounted it inside the front A pillar because i plan to remove the stock radio and mold in a xenarc touchscreen when i money comes around.

here is some info on my ride:

I did run into one problem that im not entirely sure how to fix though. The faceplate was designed to pivot down when you wanted to insert a CD and when it would do that the faceplate would disconnect from the HU. THe problem is now that the faceplate is always connected to the HU it wont let me eject the CD because it thinks there is a faceplate in the way. Im not sure what the best way around this woudl be. maybe make some sort of disconnect in the wire? any ideas would be great, thanks

For some side note info on the other items in the picture. I molded in a 8 inch kenwood touchscreen below the radio bezel that is connected to an xbox/DVD player and my kenwood GPS system.
