That's the problem. I didnt know how to get the SQL server running in the first place.
Anyhow, I noticed that I need a reboot at that point. After that the SQL server will start to run and I no longer have installation issues.
Btw, SFiorito, great write up. Really straight forward! Well done.
Just a couple of points
1) Maybe add the reboot part above into your guide
2) You need to mention that when creating resmany.dat, its not a "simple text file". It really needs to be empty! I had pulled some hair out trying to figure out when HORM didnt work, till I created an EMPTY file..
A couple of questions
Can we delete all the directories made by XPE after we have extracted minlogon, ewf.sys, ewfmgr and ewfntldr? How do we do it, uninstall or just a straight delete?
