would an inverter running a standard home pc run ok in a car? what sorta wattage inverter would u need to do this? i wouldnt mind making one with a lil case n stuff, but just for mucking around and seeing what i can do at this point..
I have had problems with inverters (small ones) and my laptop. If the battery is not fully charged it drains more juice from the inverter to get back to full charge. This caused my inverter to over heat. I hung it in front of the AC to cool it off and it worked fine. I would suggest getting a better inverter if you choose that route. Mount it someplace it will get air flowing over it.
With an inverter and nothing else, you will have to boot each time you start your car, or drain your battery. I believe.
