I have my lcd in my dash and i want to make a motorized cover for it that flips up and is controlled by a button in my dash.

So it would be like this:

Push Button, let go
Motor activates
Cover lifts(flips) up
...
Push button, let go
Motor activates other way
Cover shuts

I heard there is a certain kind of motor used to do that, not just a regular dc motor. And do i need to buy something to control it, or can i just make a circuit or wire it myself?
