Whoa! That would be a nice piece of information to have! I'd check on the Bluetooth first. I have a G4 mac with a wireless router on it and when it's sleeping and I connect to the router and then try to access the Mac it doesn't wake it up.
Also, are you running Tiger? If you are, there may be a couple of bugs in the OS that are causing that.
